The Pruning Before the Bloom

Hey there, ladies- I see you. Welcome back to our Suite Space. Yes, it's still a warm room for the real ones, the self-made, the legacy builders, the strong friends who always show up. This is our place to focus on purpose, to give ourselves a permission slip to play, to be “self-ish” (meaning: care for self), and to indulge in a little sista-ship with kinfolk who get it.

Lately, I’ve been pruning- living with my palms open, allowing what needs to sift through them to do just that.

Not just my wardrobe or my calendar. But my energy, my language, and who I allow to access my personal space.

Not out of bitterness. Not because I’m fragile.
But because I’ve learned something deep: healing people often mistake your kindness as energy on clearance. Like your attention is common and up for grabs. Like your soul is public property.

But here's the truth:
No one is owed your focus, expertise or attention.

And what’s wild is… the more I honor that truth, the more I see how nature has always known.
The leaves fall before the bloom.
The garden gets cut back before it thrives.
The silence arrives before the song.

There’s a Pruning That Comes Before Abundance

Sometimes it takes ten years, sometimes it takes ten seconds — but when it’s time for a new season, you will feel the cut.
A job ends.
A friend falls silent.
An identity you outgrew no longer fits.

And maybe you cry about it.
Or maybe you don’t.
Because eventually… the self-doubt fades.
The therapy worked.
The tears dried.
The wisdom moved in.

I’ve been through too much — disappointment, betrayal, stretching, rebuilding, breakthroughs — to doubt my capacity now.

So I’ve gotten precise.
Precise about who gets close.
Precise about how I speak to myself and allow others to.
Precise about the soil I plant my dreams in and the spaces I grace with my presence.

Because I’m blooming on purpose and you should be too.

So, Where Are You, Sis?

How are you navigating this era of your becoming?

Are you manifesting or just managing?

Are your choices pleasing you — not your mama, your group chat, or the algorithm — but you?

Too often, we as women are last on our own lists.
We give and give, and by the time we realize we deserve more, we’ve run out of breath.

But what if today — right now — was your pivot moment?

What if you accessed just a little bit of magic?

Let’s Redefine This Era

Take a breath.
Emotionally undress.
Take the filters off.

Ask yourself:

  • What would it feel like to be fully in alignment?

  • What does abundance look like on me now?

  • What am I finally ready to release… so I can rise?

Write it down. Speak it out loud.
Get clear — because clarity is its own kind of power.

You don’t have to wait for the world to give you permission.
You don’t need to earn softness.
You’re allowed to bloom. Right now.

Who loves you?
Me.
